STANHOE POTTERY is run by Geraldine Clark and her husband Michael. The studio and workshops are situated in the picturesque village of Stanhoe, Norfolk, UK, famous for its duck ponds and lying between Burnham Market and Docking.
Geraldine has a passion for clay and has been a studio potter since completing her arts degree in London. She moved to Norfolk in 2000 and set up her latest studio here in Stanhoe.
She has a wealth of experience she is able to draw upon to teach her students and create her own work. She makes all her pots by hand and Michael helps prepare the clay and fire the kilns.
Whether you are looking for functional ware or a one-off commission for a sculpture or a special pot, Geraldine and Michael are always happy to help.
At the Pottery we try to use natural materials which are given to us by Mother Earth – clay, oxides and glazes. Just sometimes we receive a commission which needs a man-made glaze but we strive to find a natural alternative.
